1ST EUROPEAN SHINKYOKUSHIN KARATE CHAMPIONSHIPS FOR CADETS AND 3TH EUROPEAN SHINKYOKUSHIN KARATE CHAMPIONSHIPS FOR YOUTHS U22
There were 172 competitors from 13 different countries taking part in the tournament. The position of the main referee was held by sensei Aleksandr Goncharenko from Lithuania, assisted by the chief technical referee - Remigiusz Karpiński from Poland.
The national team from Lithuania won the entire tournament, while the 2nd and 3rd places went to Poland and Latvia, leaving Romania on the fourth position. All experts agree that the event reached a very high level from both - the athletic and organizational points of view.
On December 3rd 2011 in the city of Wrocław took place the 3rd European Shinkyokushin Karate Championship of U22. The event was organized by the Wroclaw Kyokushin Karate Club and Polish Shinkyokushin Karate Federation. There were 146 competitors from 19 different countries taking part in the tournament.
Just like the day before the 1st place went to the team from Lithuania, 2nd to Poland and 3rd to Latvia, right before the teams from Azerbajan and Hungary. The position of the main referee was held by sensei Aleksandr Goncharenko from Lithuania, assisted by the chief technical referee - Remigiusz Karpiński from Poland. By the referees’ decision the award for the Most Valuable Male Fighter was given to Andro Zinkenko from Georgia, while Christine Buchollt was awarded with the trophy for the Best Female Fighter of the entire tournament.
According to all the audience members we managed to talk to, ass well as the experts present, the level of competition and skills presented during the championship was impressively high. There were moment when it was really difficult to determine which fight actually taking place on one of the three tatami was more interesting.
Fighters and coaches also praised the efficiency of the organizers and the spectacular beauty and atmosphere of Hala Orbita, where the event took place.
